Bauhenia Guesthouse - Potchefstroom

The location was fantastic, right next to a well-kept historical monument, the town center, and a lovely garden. The guesthouse is situated in a peaceful neighborhood. Our room was spacious, with a private bathroom, and we enjoyed a delicious hot breakfast with a good variety of food to choose from.

The hotel was really close to a historical monument that is so perfectly maintained and a taxi and Bauhenia Guesthouse thanks to its excellent location. Furthermore, close to all amenities.

our room was stunning and spacious, it had electric blankets and hypo-allergenic pillows. location: the hotel was just next door to the back garden as well as a historical monument that is so perfectly maintained. also, we could visit mooirivier mall, which was 10 minutes on foot.

I had a VERY PLEASANT stay on a business trip. The room was exceptionally clean and impressive. I enjoyed a lovely hot breakfast. The private bathroom was a great convenience. The coffee and tea making facilities, fridge, and glassware worked well.

The location of Bauhenia Guesthouse is very central and close to restaurants and a historical monument. The room was stunning and nicely decorated, with a TV, dining area, and sitting area. The staff were hospitable and accommodating day and night.

The hotel had a great location in the heart of the city, close to many popular attractions. the staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they provided us with early check-in at no additional cost. the parking was convenient with direct access to our room. We loved that they offered complementary breakfast and Wi-Fi, which was not only convenient but also saved us some money.

The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of delicious options. The location was also great, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Additionally, the elegant furniture in the room added to the overall charm and luxury of the space.

Noise levels from the neighboring guests were slightly bothersome.

The service was amazing from check-in to check-out. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to have a late breakfast and check-out without any extra charges. The beds were really comfortable and we slept soundly.

Sadly, we requested a twin room on the ground floor but were given a double bed with high steps leading into the room and the bathroom. This was not suitable for elderly people or anyone with knee problems.

The owner went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even providing a candle during loadshedding so we could find our way back to our room late at night. The breakfast was delicious and served on time, despite the power cuts. The relaxed environment and cleanliness of the hotel were top-notch. We also loved that there was a coffee shop on the premises, perfect for meetings with non-guests. The secure parking and well-maintained garden added to the overall charm of this place. We would definitely stay here again.

We also enjoyed sitting on the stoep and watching the sunset. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, especially during our late check-in and check-out. Furthermore, the room was spacious, clean, elegantly decorated and had various amenities such as extra plugs and light-blocking curtains. The shower was delightful, and the bed was comfortable with quality linen. Lastly, the breakfast was fantastic, served in a conservatory, and included great coffee that kick-starts your day.

I was impressed by the warmth and hospitality I received at Bauhenia Guesthouse. I felt welcomed and cared for. The entire guesthouse was impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a safe and comfortable stay. Despite the inconvenience of load shedding, the alarms were still functional, adding an extra layer of security. The staff were very good too assist me throughout my stay, even offering to drive me to the new guesthouse when there was a mix-up with the reservation. On the day of my departure, they kindly dropped me off at the Taxi rank. These little gestures of assistance made a huge difference and made me feel valued as a guest. I highly recommend Bauhenia Guesthouse for their really good service and quality accommodations.
